Scranton, PA November 14, 1951 ~ September 2, 2011 Date of Service: September 10, 2011Betty Jean McCloe, 59, Scranton, died Friday, in the V.N.A. Hospice at Community Medical Center.
Born in Scranton November 14, 1951, daughter of the late John and Earnice McCloe, she attended Scranton Technical High School and was employed by Wal-Mart until her illness. She had also attended Shiloh Baptist Church.
Betty was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend who will be sadly missed by many.
She is survived by her sons Travis McCloe, Namon McCloe, Roamell Smith, all of Scranton, and Darwin Shaw, NY; a daughter Quintina Shaw, NY; a sister Faith Brantley, Scranton; brothers John McCloe, VA, Theodore McCloe, OH, Douglas McCloe, Sr., William and John Kachurio, all of NY; 15 grandchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as Godchildren Karon Weston and Luvrelle McGowan.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Felicia and sister Charlotte.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Shiloh Baptist Church, William St. and Wayne Ave., Scranton, by Rev. Dr. Cornelius Williams.
