Theresa Ann Moretti-Kleynowski 82, of Pittston, died Monday in Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Kleynowski, Sr. in 1992.

 

Born in Scranton, November 22, 1932, to the late Orlando and Vera Barbetti Moretti, she was a graduate of Old Forge High School and had worked most of her life in the local garment industry prior to retirement.  She was a member of Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish in Pittston. 

 

Surviving are children, Joseph Walsh of Tunkhannock, Robert Walsh of Allentown, Carol Walsh Tomko of Lafayette, LA, and Leo Kleynowski, Jr. of Trucksville; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by brothers Elliot and Armand Moretti.

 

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Golden Living Center East Mountain Manor, and Celtic Hospice for their compassion and care, as well as Fr. Andy Senott and Fr. Tom Maloney for all of the kindness shown to Theresa and her family during her time of need. 

 

Mass of Christian burial was held at Our Lady of the Eucharist Church. 535 N. Main St., Pittston with interment in Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
