Sara R. Rinaldi, 86, of Dunmore, died Sunday evening in the
Dunmore Health Care Center after an illness. Her husband, Salvatore J. Rinaldi,
died March 19, 2012.



Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Rosario
and Lucia Schiffo Riggi and was a member of SSAnthony and Rocco Parish,
Dunmore. She attended the Dunmore Public Schools and prior to retirement she
was employed in the local garment industry.



She was the last of 10 children and enjoyed crocheting,
quilting, baking, playing bingo and going to the casinos. She was a beloved
wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be sadly missed by all who
knew her. She passed surrounded by her loving family.



The family wishes to thank the Dunmore Health Care Center
and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for all of their care and compassion during
Sara’s illness.



Surviving are twin daughters; Lucy Ann Norton and husband
James, Scranton and Mary Ann Viola and husband Michael, Jr., Dunmore. A son;
James Rinaldi and wife Pamela, Hackettstown, NJ. Grandchildren; James Norton,
Jr., Kristin Norton, Michael Viola, III and Jonathan Viola. Several nieces and
nephews.



She was preceded in death by sisters; Rose Banno, Josephine
Barrigar, Mary Morelli, Catherine Mase, Grace Hargonich, Theresa Nardozza and Susan
Barrigar. Brothers; Cataldo and Michael Riggi.



The funeral will be Friday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis
Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore with Mass at 9:30am in St.
Anthony’s Church, Smith St., Dunmore.



Interment, Dunmore Cemetery



Friends may call Thursday from 4-7pm



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Dr., Wilkes-Barre, Pa 18702.
