Salvatore “Sam” A. Fortese, 60, Dunmore, died Thursday morning from complications from leukemia. He and his wife the former Eileen McKenna had celebrated their 33rd Wedding anniversary on June 30th.

Dear Eileen and Family:
I just learned of Sam's passing last night when I had called my cousin, Coleen,

My sincere and heartfelt sympathy goes out to you. I know Sharon spoke so highly of him and I know that this has been a quite a trial for you. My prayers are with you and I hope you find peace in knowing that his suffering is now over.

Sincerely,

Mary Carol

Dear Eileen and family, I again wish to offer my sympathy to you. Sam and I had so much fun working together at Drug and Alcohol. He was like my younger brother...I have so many wonderful memories of this great guy. All he talked about was how he fell in love with you Eileen the first time he looked at you....also talked incessantly about his Rye-Rye and Britany. He was a perfectionist and a wonderful friend to so many people. I will sorely miss him. God Bless You...my prayers are with you and your wonderful family. Love, Cathy McNamara

To the Fortese and McKenna Families,
It has been many years since I last saw Sam at our high school reunion. I remember him as his family describes him- fun-loving, with a big smile and a big heart. Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss.
