Rose Libassi, 91, Dunmore, died Tuesday at home following an illness.
Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Agatha Cusumano Libassi, and was a member of St. Paul’s Parish in Scranton and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School, and prior to retirement she was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Surviving is a sister, Josephine Libassi of Dunmore; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Pearl and Marion Libasssi, and brothers Joseph, Anthony, Carmello, Charles, and Benjamin Libassi.
The funeral will be Friday with mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul’s Church, Penn Ave., Scranton. Friends may call Friday morning at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment to follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
