Rose Engelmyer, 88, of Delray Beach, FL and formerly of Scranton, died Wednesday evening, October 12, 2016 in the Delray Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Earl Engelmyer, to whom she was married for 65 years.  

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Hyman and Sadie Judkovics Lerman. Rose was a legal administrator for the city of Scranton with overseeing the city's legal functions. She also had a television and radio show with WSCR radio and WBRE-TV from 1959-1969.

She was the devoted mother to Deby Engelmyer, and Steven Engelmyer, and wife Lisa; loving grandmother to Alaina and Lauren Engelmyer; dear sister to Ruth Lerman Palefsky, and the late Evelyn Lerman and Martin Lerman; special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in the Dalton Jewish Cemetery by Rabbi Moshe Saks. 

There will be no local shiva.
