Romayne C. DeBiasie, 81, of Dunmore, died Wednesday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital's Intensive Care Unit, Scranton. Her husband, August P. DeBiasie, died Feb. 2, 1996. The couple had been married for more than 40 years. 

Born in West Pittston, daughter of the late Edward and Marion Schmultz Bulger, she was a graduate of St. John's High School, Pittston. She and her husband were the proprietors of the former Sharkey's Restaurant in Dunmore for 38 years. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed baking and cooking and traveling to the casinos. She loved the holidays and spending time with her family but she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Armando Salavanti and the nurses and staff of Traditional Home Health Care and Hospice and the Moses Taylor Hospital for all of their care and compassion during Romayne's illness.

Surviving are daughters, Debbie Welshans, Spring Hills, Fla.; Sandra DePietro and husband, Thomas, Scranton; Charlotte Carone and husband, John, Duryea; Ann Marie Donvito and husband, Bill, Dunmore; and Michele Reed and husband, Ed, Scranton; grandchildren, Michael Welshans and wife, Melissa; Brian and Marissa Welshans; Danielle Cole and husband, Zachary; Thomas DePietro and wife, Eugenia; twins Billy and Patrick Donvito, Nicholas Donvito, Eddie and Katie Reed; great-grandchildren, twins Michael and Anthony Welshans, and Macy Cole; sisters, Rita Hubshman and husband, Jack, Scranton; and Renee Bulger, Virginia; brothers, Raymond Bulger, Dunmore; and Richard Bulger and wife, Linda, Scranton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa; and her stepmother, Mary Bulger.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor Avenue, Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
