Patrick W. Montana, 72, of Dunmore died Sunday morning in Allied Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Patrick and Jenny Sica Montana and was a member of St. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore and a graduate of Dunmore High School.
Known by many as “Junior”, he was a proud member of the National Guard and in his younger years he was a talented hair dresser and drummer that played in many local bands. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his friends in Dunmore, especially at the Dunmore Corners. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Allied Skilled Nursing Center 4th floor for all of their care and compassion.
Surviving are sisters; Rose Marie Lynott and companion Wayne Phillips and Carmella Castellano and husband Vincent, all of Scranton; brothers; Anthony Montana and wife Mary Lou and Mario Montana and wife Marian, all of Dunmore. An uncle, Samuel Sica, Dunmore and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore with Mass at 9:30am in St. Rocco’s Church, 118 Kurtz St., Dunmore
Interment, Dunmore Cemetery
Friends May call Tuesday from 4-7pm
