Pasquale S. “Pat” Cianci, 83, Dunmore died Sunday morning at home. He and his wife the former Mary Azzarelli celebrated 59 years of marriage on July 3rd.

Born in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Anthony and Anna Cioffari Cianci. Patsy attended Dunmore public schools, was a member of SS. Anthony & Rocco Parish in Dunmore where he served as an usher aithfully for many years, and was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean conflict as a
stationed in Germany.

Prior to retirement he worked for Spotless Cleaners in Dunmore for 30 years as a salesman and prior to that had been employed by the former NCR in Scranton.

Pat was an avid billiards player, a fan of stock car racing, and got great pleasure spending many enjoyable hours in his woodshop. It was here that he was able to fix anything that was broken for his family and friends.

Patsy was a people person who was known for his bad puns and one liners. More importantly he will be  emembered as a patient, humble, and loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed more than words can express.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann Cianci and her husband James Barnes, MD, Feasterville, PA and Angela Seibert and her husband Mark, Dunmore, a brother, Canio J. Cianci, Toms River, NJ, four grandchildren, Talia Moses and spouse Ilya, Camille Bisignaro and spouse Patrick, Michael Wood and spouse Judith, and Lucy Seibert, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother Anthony Cianci Jr.

The funeral will be Thursday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street in Dunmore. Interment will take place in the St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow.

Friends may call Wednesday 4pm-7pm.

In lieu of flowers Pat’s family requests donations be made to SS. Anthony & Rocco Parish 303 Smith Street Dunmore 18512 or to the donor’s favorite charity.
