Michael F. Gedman, 66, of Scranton, died Monday evening at
home. He is survived by his wife the former Shirley Ramakis. The couple would
have celebrated 45 years of marriage on February 7th.



Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Dominic and
Helen Polkowski Gedman and was a graduate of West Scranton High School. He
worked as a general contractor for over 35 years and then he worked for Krayer
Detective Agency until Thanksgiving Day 2013.



 He was a member of
the Lithuania and Taurus Clubs in North Scranton. Michael was a handy man and
adored his cats. He was a gentle soul who was always willing to help
anyone.  He will be sadly missed.



Also surviving are sisters; Barbra Karluk and husband
Richard, Emmaus, Rose Marie Karluk and husband Alexander, Binghamton and
Marybeth Crimmins and husband Tim, Blakeslee. A brother; Dominic Gedman and
wife Teresea, State College. Sister-in-laws; Judy Karzenowski and husband
Steve, Dunmore and Joan Auray, Calabash, North Carolina. Several nieces,
nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great- nephews.



A Memorial Mass will be held January 3rd at St.
Pat’s Church 1403 Jackson St., Scranton at 11:00am.



Interment is private at the convenience of the family

I worked with Mike at Contempri for quite a while. Mike was a hard worker with a lot of skills. Sometimes we'd have to work outside in the snow, and he never complained. He was a good guy and i'm sure will be missed by many. My condolences to his wife and family. bob.
