Marion “Mare” Calciano Hall, 68, of White’s Crossing, died December 17th at home.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hall, on October 22, 1982.

Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Jaworsky Calciano, she attended the Dunmore School District and was employed for many years at Laurel Hill Nursing Home and then Supermarket Services.  She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, family and friends.  Her door was always open to everyone and was best known to all as “Ma.” She will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are daughters Dawn Taldo and fiancé John Piwowarczyk, and grandson, Michael Taldo, Jr., all with whom she resided; Tammy Hall, Scranton; stepdaughter Carolyn Hall, Lenoxville; sons Patrick Calciano and wife Joy, East Benton; Joseph Hall and wife Wendy, Old Forge; Timothy Hall and Lindy Snipes, Peckville; stepson Kenneth Hall, Jr., Scranton; brother Jim Calciano and wife Lisa, Elmhurst; 25 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and her best friend of many years, Janet Fabbri, Scranton.

She was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Hall; two daughters, Janine and Angela Hall; a stepdaughter, Marilyn VanLouvender; her brother Butchie; and her Aunt Mary DiNoia.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Sergeant Michael Arthur, Carbondale Township, and to the White’s Crossing Fire and Rescue Company, and Cottage Hose Company.

The funeral will be Wednesday at noon in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore.  Interment to follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Township.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m.
