Louise Z. Giuliani Coleman, 99, a former resident of Dunmore and Clarks Summit died Friday morning in the Jewish Home of Eastern PA. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dominic Giuliani, who died during WWII and her second husband, Edward Coleman, who died in 1995.
Born in Eynon, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Frances Puletti Giacomini, she was a graduate of the Scranton School of Cosmetology and was a member of the Scranton Firefighters Auxiliary and a former member of the Abington Senior Center.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, who enjoyed spending time with family, socializing with her many friends in Dunmore and Clarks Summit and whose special joy was singing to her grandchildren.
Her family would like to thank the staff of the Jewish Home for all the loving care given to Louise over the years and for the support and compassion shown to her family.
Surviving are sons Dal Giuliani and wife Carol, Amherst, NY; Edward Coleman and wife Marilou, Brookhaven, PA; and Joseph Coleman and wife Donna, Clarks Summit; seven grandchildren, Mark Giuliani and wife Marge, Lisa Todd, Chris Giuliani and wife, Amy, Ryan ,Domenica, Joey and Kate Coleman and five great- grandchildren. Sisters, Diane Moynihan, New York, Juliette Maddon, West Virginia, Sistene Aviltroni and husband, Eugene, Peckville and Helen Cawatski, Wyoming, Pa. Brothers, Harold and wife, Cathy and James, all of Delaware, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson Kevin Coleman in 1994, sisters, Vera Homish and Marie Rinaldi and brothers, Romeo, Edward, August and Daniel Giacomini.
The funeral will be Monday with mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Snows Church, State St., Clarks Summit. Interment in the Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. All those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church.
