Josephine Theresa Marzolino, 94, of Dunmore, died Sunday morning in the Dunmore Health Care Center. Her husband, Nicholas Thomas, died Nov. 12, 2002. The couple had been married for 55 years.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Saveria Ragona Pusateri and was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Before retirement, she worked for many years as a manager for a women's clothing store.
She was an active and proud member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society and school, where she held many offices in the PTA. She was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the church choir. She was honored many times by Serving Seniors for her dedication to praying the rosary every Sunday for over 30 years at the former Laurel Hill Nursing Home in Dunmore. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are sons, Robert and wife, Ann, Dunmore; and Nicholas Jr., Vienna, Va.; grandchildren, Bryan and Eileen Marzolino, Dunmore; brothers, Salvatore Pusateri, Dunmore; and Robert Pusateri, Scranton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Coggin; and brothers, Joseph and Anthony Pusateri.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, Smith Street, Dunmore. Entombment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Friends may call Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
