John Lee “Ozzie” Osborn, Scranton and a past resident of Dunmore for over 60 years, died Saturday at home.  He and his wife, the former Donna Palmer, were married for 41 years on April 17th

 Born in Pontiac, Michigan, son of the late John Lee and Lorraine Meade Osborn, he attended Dunmore public schools and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  Prior to retirement, he worked for the Eureka Printing Company in Scranton, as well as Panel Prints.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and was also a licensed ham radio operator.

 Also surviving is a daughter, Laura M. Heffron and husband Jason, Scranton; sons Lee C. Osborn, Greentown, PA; and Wayne Osborn and wife Joan, Throop; sister Louise Healey, Taylor; grandson Ronald Osborn, Throop; and nephew Donald Bartlow, Taylor.

  He was preceded in death by a grandson John Lee Osborn.

 A memorial service will be held Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St.., Dunmore.  The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of service.

Sorry to hear about "Ozzie's" passing. I knew him from Ham Radio years ago, He was a great "radio" friend,
