James (Jim) Krieger, 57, died Monday morning at his home in Philadelphia after a courageous fight with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).  He is survived by his wife, the former Sherri Fingerhood. The couple celebrated 2 years of marriage on August 30th.


Born in Scranton, he is the son Lois Plottle Kreiger Dubin of Boynton Beach, FL, and the late Leonard Krieger. He was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and Arizona State University, and was previously employed at Leshore Calgift and thereafter in business for himself. He enjoyed playing basketball and attending Penn State football games from the time he was a youngster.


Sherri, who cherished him and said, “He was a wonderful husband who will be greatly missed.”

He is also survived by his children, Joshua, Jake and Schyler; and stepchildren, Selina March, London, England; and Trevor March, Honeybrook; his siblings, Gabrielle Hochberg and husband Steven, San Diego, CA; Alan J. Krieger and wife Sandy, Los Angeles, CA; Jill K. Linder and husband James, Clarks Summit; Gary Krieger and wife Tracie, Palm Beach Gardens, FL; his in-laws, Andrea Fingerhood, Philadelphia, and Elliot Fingerhood, Exton; Christopher O’Hara and several nieces, nephews and cousins.


The funeral will be Wednesday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore with a service at 1:00 p.m. by Rabbi Moshe Saks and Cantor Vladimir Aronzon.


Intermentto follow in the Dalton Jewish Cemetery.


Friends may call Wednesday from noon until the time of service.

 

There is no shiva.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the entier family. May the Lord confort his ex-wife Colleen and their four children; Christopher,Joshua,Jacob and Schyler.
