James A. Bochicchio, 94, Dunmore died Tuesday morning in the Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. His wife the former Ann Margotta died in 2007. They had been married for 49 years.
Born in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Joseph and Concetta Colangelo Bochicchio. Jim was a graduate of Dunmore High School and was a lifelong member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore. He served honorably in the Army Air Force during World War II. Prior to retirement he was employed by Universal Realty as a maintenance supervisor.
Jim enjoyed spending time with family especially his grandsons and nieces and nephews. Adapting and learning ever changing technology and his fascination with computers kept him young and allowed him to preserve precious family photos that can be cherished by future generations.
Surviving are two sons, James and wife Kim, Moscow, and Michael and wife Carmela, Dunmore; two grandsons, Jim and wife Rachael, Brookline, MA, and Robert, Moscow; two sisters, Diane Batyko, Wadsworth, OH, Lucy Bochicchio, Akron, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Genovese and Jean Capazo and three brothers, Rocco, Maurice, and William.
The funeral will be Friday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street in Dunmore. Interment with full military honors will take place in the Dunmore Cemetery.
