Grace D'Andrea, 84, of Dunmore, died Saturday March 18, 2017. She was married for 58 years to Joe D’Andrea who passed away in 2013.

Daughter of the late Calogero and Rose Riggi Banno, she was raised and resided in Dunmore her entire life, attended St. Mary’s School, graduated from Dunmore High in 1950 and was a life long member of St. Anthony of Padua Church.  Grace was a modest woman, deeply devoted to her husband, family and God.  Though quiet and reserved, she thoroughly enjoyed her many travels and adventures experienced with Joe, while at the same time was deeply committed to caring for her husband’s serious disabilities.

She is survived by her two children: her daughter, Linda D. Barrasse; and her son, Joseph and his spouse, Maryellen; her four grandchildren, Joseph Barrasse, Matthew and Olivia D’Andrea as well as Nicholas D’Andrea; her sisters Yolanda DelVecchio, Rosemarie Fanelli and her husband Jim, Lucille Clapps and sister-in-law Maryann Banno.

Grace was was preceded in death by her brother, Tony and her grandson Cody Barrasse.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church on Smith Street in Dunmore. The family asks that all those attending the funeral Mass go directly to the church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Grace was very proud of her grandchildren, all of whom have attended Scranton Prep. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cody Jude Barrasse Memorial Foundation, c/o Scranton Preparatory School, 1000 Wyoming Avenue, Scranton, 18509.
