Louise Hetsko, 92, of Dunmore, died Monday at home after an illness. Her husband, Edward J. Hetsko died Aug. 28, 1993.
Born in Dorisville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late George and Grace Lloyd Wilson and attended Dunmore public schools. She was a member of the Dunmore United Methodist Church. Louise was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Center, Head Start and a block parent for many years. She was a member of the Neighborhood Watch and Hilltop Ladies Bowling League.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family wishes to thank the Celtic Hospice and Home Health and Geisinger CMC for all of their care and compassion.
Surviving are sons, Gary and wife, Jennie, Jefferson Twp.; Dale and wife, Mariellen, the Villages, Fla.; Dr. Richard and wife, Kate, Oberlin, Ohio; and Keith and wife, Lisa, Scranton; daughters, Cheryl Mason and husband, John, Gilbertsville, N.Y.; and Carol Sweeney, Dunmore; 19 grandchildren, Ed, Vickie, Joanna, Josh, Gary, Eric, Scott, Lisa, Melissa, Brian, Nikki, Andrew, Joseph, John, Jennifer, Jeremy, Jillian, Jeanae and Jordan; 19 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hetsko; several nieces, nephews and cousins; several dogs and cats; and her favorite companions, Abbey and Reese.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Edward Jr.
The funeral will be Friday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with a service at 10 a.m. in the Dunmore United Methodist Church, Blakely Street, Dunmore. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst
