Ethel M. Ziff, 84, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday morning in
the Jewish Home of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Scranton. Her husband of 32
years, Emanuel Ziff died in 1982.



Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late
Larry and Frances Zuller Bernstein. She was a resident of Florida for 20 years
where she was active in Technion, an Israel Organization where she had the
privilege of visiting Israel on their behalf. She loved to play Mahjong and
Canasta. The family wishes to thank the staff and residents of Elan Gardens for
making her feel so welcome and a special thank you to the nursing staff of the
5th floor of the Jewish Home especially to Marianne.



Surviving is a daughter; Dale Hersh and husband Bob, Clarks
Summit; grandchildren; Melissa Altay and husband John, and  Staci Pfeffer, all of Staten Island and
great-granddaughter, Olivia Altay, who was the love of her life. Several
nieces, nephews and cousins.



She was preceded in death by a daughter; Mindy Stern.



A graveside service will be held today at 1:00pm by Rabbi
Dovid Saks  in Beth David Cemetery, 300
Elmont Rd., Elmont, NY.



Local Shiva will be observed at Elan Gardens on Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm,Friday 2-4pm and Saturday 8-9pm.

Venard Rd., S. Abington Township 18411 or the donor’s favorite charity.

I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. I'm sure you'll keep with you many wonderful memories of her time with you. My thoughts are with you as you go through this difficult time.
