Earl “Bird” Parker, 55, Scranton, died Wednesday at home.

Born May 14th 1959 in Scranton he was the son of the late Bernice E. Parker and Frank E. Williams. Earl was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and prior to his disability he was employed as a heavy machine operator with PennDOT. He attended worship services at Bethel AME church in Scranton.

He is survived by a daughter Cristy O’Donnell, Springbrook Twp., a sister Carla P. Smith and a brother Leon Parker, both of Scranton, a grandaughter Kailyn Caster, Springbrook Twp., a grandson Naseem Smith, Scranton, an aunt Geraldine Scott, Scranton and an Uncle Warren Kiah, Dover, Delaware, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Earl was preceded in death by two brothers Jesse E. Parker, Charles D. Parker, and three sisters Bernice C. Parker, Thelma E. Parker, and Marcia A. Blackwell.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at noon in Bethel A.M.E. Church, North Washington Avenue in Scranton, by Rev. Tawan E. Bailey. Friends may visit at the church from 11am until the time of service.
