David G. Turner, Jr., 57, died Tuesday evening at home. He is survived by his companion of twenty years, Jean Lockner.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late David, Sr. and Elaine Manley Turner and was a graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School. He was an Army veteran and worked for many years in the construction industry.

He was an avid pro football fan and a very loyal Pittsburgh Steeler’s fan. He enjoyed building things and working with his hands. His tools were his toys. He constructed a Koi pond in his backyard which he enjoyed every day and was very proud of. He loved his family and his dog Stanley and would help anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Also surviving is a daughter, Kellie Miller, at home; a granddaughter Alyssa Miller; sisters Gayle Turner and Terry Stewart, both of Scranton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Maureen Cooper and a brother, Gary Turner.

There are no public services.  Interment is private at the convenience of the family.
