I am very saddened by the death of Bernie. I got to know Bernie through golf at the Towanda Country Club. We had a lot of fun playing together in the 90's. He then joined another club and we did not see much of each other for a number of years. Fate brought us back together at his dialysis treatments in Sayre. My mother-in-law received treatments next to him before she passed away. I continued visting Bernie a couple of times a month. We had many great conversations about family, our careers, but mostly sports. A big smile would come to his face when we talked about the Red Sox. I know it was tough the last couple of years with his problems and his wifes condition but he never complained. He was a fine man and I will miss him. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

Extending to your family my heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your Husband/Father. I meant Bernie when my Mom was doing dialysis. What a special man he was. My brother-in-law used to occasionally play golf at the same time, so even after my Mom passes he would go and visit with him during his treatment..my thoughts and prayers are with you...
