Beatrice A. Roberts, 93, of Dunmore, died Sunday afternoon at home. Her husband, the late John Roberts died September 15, 2005. The couple had been married for 59 years.
Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late William and Carmella Rinaldi Ross and was a member of SS Anthony and Rocco Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School and prior to retirement she worked in retail sales in the children’s department at the former Globe Store in Scranton.
She was a member of the Dunmore Women’s Club and the Women’s Auxiliary of the Elite Social Club. She enjoyed quilting and taking bus trips to Atlantic City and especially enjoyed family gatherings and holidays. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank her wonderful caregivers Laura, Kathy, Terry and Stacy.
Surviving are daughters; Barbara Roberts and Mary Ellen Levandoski and husband Edmund, all of Dunmore. A son; John Roberts and wife Christine, Dickson City. Grandchildren; Ed Levandoski, Jr., Jill Dee and husband Robert, Mark Levandoski and wife Stephanie, Ian Roberts, Jessica Ehnot and husband Pat. Great-grandchildren; Marcus, Claire, Kelly, Robert III, Erica, GianCarlo and Xavier. A sister; Ann Weidow, Scranton, a brother; Anthony Ross and wife Anne, Rochester, NY. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister; Lucille Malatesta and brothers; Paul, Vincent and Joseph Ross.
The funeral will be Friday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St. Dunmore with Mass at 10am in Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor Ave., Scranton.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst
