Angelo D. "Bones" Bouselli of Dunmore died Wednesday in the Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife, the former Ann C. Morelli, died Aug. 30, 2006.
Born in Dunmore, son of the late Louis and Genevieve Romanini Bouselli, he was educated in Dunmore public schools and was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore. At the age of 15, he left home to work with the Conservation Civilian Corps and thereafter joined the Army and served in the European theater and the Asiatic-Pacific theater during World War II. He was proud to have served and was supportive of all of our troops.
Before retirement, he was employed by Friedman Express, Dunmore. He was a longtime member of St. Anthony's Playground Association and after retirement, he served as its groundskeeper for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Dunmore Sportsmen's Hunting Club and the San Cataldo Club. He loved Chevy cars, BMW motorcycles and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR racing, especially his favorite driver, Jimmy Johnson.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who enjoyed time spent with family and sitting on his porch with his dog Maggie. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
His family would like to thank the staff of Dunmore Health Care Center and Lackawanna Ambulance for the dedicated care.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Passariello and husband, Jerome, Scranton; three sons, Robert and wife, Susan, Dunmore; David and wife, Frances, Scranton; and Tony and wife, Elizabeth, Dunmore; a sister, Florence Colwell, Rhode Island; two brothers, Louis and wife, Dorothy, Dunmore; and Anthony and wife, Mary, Illinois; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Santa Donnini-Biagioni, Teresa Mills and Violet Sibio; and five brothers, Pete, Matt, Mario, Sandy and John.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street, Dunmore. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, Dunmore.
