John (Jack) Froese

John (Jack) Froese

Dunmore, PA December 15, 1979 ~ June 10, 2011 Date of Service: June 17, 2011

A light went out in our lives. John “Jack” Froese 32 of Dunmore died Friday at home from a heart attack.

Jack was born December 15, 1978 in Scranton. Son of Jack and Patty Froese. Jack grew up in Dunmore. He was a 1998 graduate of Dunmore High School. He received his Associates from Luzern County Community College in Record and sound engineering.

Jacks personality was bigger than life. He always had some sarcastic comeback for anything anyone had to say. He could make you laugh even on your worst day. He loved spending time with his kids watching them grow and learn. He also loved spending time with his family and friends especially Michelle. Jack was also into tattoos both getting and collecting tattoo art work. Each one had a special meaning to him and there was a reason for him having each one. Jack had an immense passion for music from the time he was small. He was a founding member of the band for Strength For A Reason, Ray Brower and Scrap. He loved to write and play new songs especially for his kids. He also loved working on and building motorcycles as well as riding them. It was where he felt most at peace. He was also one of the founding members The Baseball Furies Stunt team.  Jack had a love of all animals, having various pets throughout his life.

He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

Also surviving are a daughter, Emma Rose 4, a son, Coilin Michael 3, and their mother Jenn Whitlock at home. A sister, Sarah Veater, husband Greg, and a niece Charleigh, Dunmore. Maternal grandparents James Michael McGraw Sr. and Jacqulyn, Dunmore. Aunts, Uncles, cousins and countless friends who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Frank and Joan Froese, an Uncle, Mike Froese and a cousin Eddie Samuels.

A blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30am in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore by the Rev. Cyril Edwards.

Friends may call Thursday from 5-9pm.

I was sad to read of jack's passing in the paper today. I had no idea. I graduated a year after he did. Class of '99'. And I looked up to Jack a lot. He may not have known it, but I did. We all did. There was an entire group of kids that looked at him like he was a god. He was a god to us. He played guitar, and was in a band. Not to mention good with the ladies. I hope this doesn't come off as innapropriate or anything. But I just wanted to let the family know that, Jack influenced a lot of people. And he reached out to a lot of people. People he man not have ever known. I never got the chance to tell him any of this. He was good friends with my older brother Joel. He knew who I was and all that, but he was just always too cool to approach. I wish I had told him. I can bet that today there are a lot of Dunmore Alumni, class of '99' that are very sad to see a legend pass. And Jack, Jack IS a legend. My group of friends and myself, will never forget Jack. He will always be a true hero to us. To me. I am sorry. And it's with a heavy heart to know a hero has gone. The world is a darker place now.
