Edwin Golob, Delray Beach, FL, died Tuesday morning at home.  His wife is the former Claire Kurzweil.

 Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Charles and Rose Pachter Golob.  A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served with occupied forces in post-World War II Japan and acted as an Entertainment Specialist.  Prior to retirement, he was a merchant in a retail children’s clothing business in Brooklyn.  Edwin was known to all as being a kind and gentle soul, and will be dearly missed. 

 Also surviving are his children, daughter Fern Golob Grama and husband of blessed memory, Yshaya Grama; son David Golob and wife Susan Curcurato Golob; and daughter Susan Golob; granddaughters Joy Grama and Nicole Golob; sister Sylvia Golob Sulzer and husband Gerald Sulzer; numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

 Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Dalton Jewish Cemetery by Rabbi Daniel Swartz.  Family will receive at 163 Darlington, Staten Island, NY, Friday through Sunday. 

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Home of Eastern PA, 1101 Vine St., Scranton, PA 18510.

Our family offers our deepest sympathy to you and your family in this time of lose. He will be greatly missed up here at the lake.
