Marilyn A. Titus, of Scranton, died Monday in the Northeast Pennsylvania Hospice Unit at Regional Hospital, Scranton, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of John A. Titus who died March 19, 1958.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late George and Hazel Hall Jenkins. She was a graduate of the 1945 class of Dunmore High School and was formerly employed by International Correspondence Schools, the Social Security Administration and retired after 23 years from Professional Orthopedics Association, LTD.

Marilyn “Marbear” was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and an inspiration to all who knew her.

Surviving are a daughter, Terri Lynn Cadden and her husband James Jr., Scranton, with whom she resided; a sister, Nancy Schiavone and husband Joseph, Lake Winola; her beloved three grandchildren, Jimmy and Jonathan, Scranton and Jennifer, New York City; four great- grandchildren; Jonathan, Nathan, Makailyn and Avery, Scranton; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother William “Billy” Jenkins and two nephews.

The funeral will be Friday at 11:00a.m. in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore.

Interment, Dunmore Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening in the funeral home from 4-7 p.m.

She had the most beautiful eyes I'd ever seen, next to her grandaughter's, with a beautiful soul to match.
She'll be missed by more people than most will realize.
